This Barn was original to this historic property but was underutilized. The client wanted to convert the unfinished barn into an indoor basketball court with a temperature controlled interior for use year round. The street facing side of the historic exterior was preserved but a new facade including a new expansive gable window was created on the side facing the backyard. The new window brought much needed natural light to the interior and new glass french doors with a sliding barn door finished the look. The interior has custom painted oak flooring and walls clad with a rustic oak shiplap with rubio oil finish for durability. These walls will be able to withstand more than a few hits from a basketball.
