Here’s a quick look at the highlights from some of our latest projects in progress.
Contemporary on the Cape
Project Architect: Jennifer Birnstiel of Archiplicity
We were contacted by the clients of this home to do a complete renovation of this large home, to update its look and feel and to also add on more space for their active family. Built in the early 80’s, the original home contained many levels with step-ups and downs into almost every room, creating a choppy feeling. The new design will help to level the floors in the home and open the space, creating sightlines that are perfect for taking in their gorgeous marsh views.
Work began in this home in late September and our team has been moving right along, replacing all of the windows, framing the additions, replacing weather-worn boards and installing a fresh new protective layer of weather wrap.
This is a large home that when completed, will have 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. We have a lot of work ahead of us – check back soon to see how it’s coming along.
A Fresh New Start in Plymouth
Project Architect: Conathan Design
This waterfront home, nestled in one of Plymouth’s hidden neighborhoods, has begun a complete transformation, from the bottom up. Though a beautiful home to begin with, it was not meant for year-round living and was in need of a lot of care. To make this space work for our client’s family, we have begun the process of building a custom 4,000 sq foot home in its place. We are excited to take on this project with our clients and to create the home of their dreams.
Since work began in October, things have really moved along quite quickly. Here’s a look at the plan of the front of the home. You’ll also see here that the exterior of the home is really taking shape and that the hearth is in the early stages. Keep checking back through all of the stages to see how things are going.
Duxbury Master Suite Addition
Project Architect: BF Architects
This project started with demolition of an existing portion of the home and adds on a full master suite with walk-in closet & an attached den that will allow this couple the convenience of single level living.
This home, originally built in 1662, is really getting the love and attention that it deserves. We are proud to work on a home of this age, where we can really help to make its history and character shine.
Our in-house finish carpenters have built and installed the built-in cabinetry to exactly the client’s request. Kitchen cabinetry is going in and finish details like tile and paint colors are being chosen now and will be going in next. Check back in soon!
