Projects In Progress

Here’s a quick look at the highlights from some of our latest projects in progress.

Contemporary on the Cape

Project Architect: Jennifer Birnstiel of Archiplicity

We were contacted by the clients of this home to do a complete renovation of this large home, to update its look and feel and to also add on more space for their active family. Built in the early 80’s, the original home contained many levels with step-ups and downs into almost every room, creating a choppy feeling. The new design will help to level the floors in the home and open the space, creating sightlines that are perfect for taking in their gorgeous marsh views.

We have completed the sheet rock and plaster phase and now we are working on the trim and stair work, which are both big jobs in a home of this size. We are working with the client on paint colors, closet details and the appliance delivery schedule. Lots of great work happening!

A Fresh New Start in Plymouth

Project Architect: Conathan Design

This waterfront home, nestled in one of Plymouth’s hidden neighborhoods, has begun a complete transformation, from the bottom up. Though a beautiful home to begin with, it was not meant for year-round living and was in need of a lot of care. To make this space work for our client’s family, we have begun the process of building a custom 4,000 sq foot home in its place. We are excited to take on this project with our clients and to create the home of their dreams.

The home is really becoming a beautiful addition to the neighborhood and our team is working daily to bring it to life. Details like the trim work, shiplap and touches like the cable railing on the top deck are subtle differences that will really make this home stand out.

A Cottage Makeover

Project Architect: BF Architects

Our clients, a brother and sister team, contacted us in the fall of 2019 regarding a lakeside summer cottage that has been in their family for many years. They both have very fond memories of playing on the shoreline and spending many warm summer days surrounded by their family and enjoying the lake.

It was finally time to make this cottage a year-round home for them and we are happy to give this cottage the makeover it deserves. Built in the 1960’s, it is ready for a renovation (though you can tell it was loved), it is time to give it the attention and detail it deserves.

To suit our clients needs, we’ll be completely renovating the existing home and constructing a new addition. The new space will include a two car garage, mudroom, 2 new bedrooms and baths, laundry room and an attic accessible for storage.

Things are really starting to shape up now that the framing has begun. The client stops by often and is very excited about the progress made so far. Stay tuned as we transform this summer cottage into a year round home fit for full time family living.
