Here’s a quick look at the highlights from some of our latest projects in progress.
Contemporary on the Cape
Project Architect: Jennifer Birnstiel of Archiplicity
We were contacted by the clients of this home to do a complete renovation of this large home, to update its look and feel and to also add on more space for their active family. Built in the early 80’s, the original home contained many levels with step-ups and downs into almost every room, creating a choppy feeling. The new design will help to level the floors in the home and open the space, creating sightlines that are perfect for taking in their gorgeous marsh views.
Work continues and we are thankful for the good weather that we have had. Lots of exterior work, both on the house and on the grounds of the property are taking place. Framing, wiring, plumbing are all going in – it will take many hands to make this large home come together but we have just the team for it.
A Fresh New Start in Plymouth
Project Architect: Conathan Design
This waterfront home, nestled in one of Plymouth’s hidden neighborhoods, has begun a complete transformation, from the bottom up. Though a beautiful home to begin with, it was not meant for year-round living and was in need of a lot of care. To make this space work for our client’s family, we have begun the process of building a custom 4,000 sq foot home in its place. We are excited to take on this project with our clients and to create the home of their dreams.
Our team is there daily, working to keep this project moving right along. The exterior is still being buttoned up and the framing continues. Lots of details and plans continue to shape up; the homeowner has chosen their appliances and plumbing fixtures at this point – flooring, exterior door choices and tile are next on the docket. Keep checking back through all of the stages to see how things are going.
Duxbury Master Suite Addition
Project Architect: BF Architects
This project started with demolition of an existing portion of the home and adds on a full master suite with walk-in closet & an attached den that will allow this couple the convenience of single level living.
This home, originally built in 1662, is really getting the love and attention that it deserves. We are proud to work on a home of this age, where we can really help to make its history and character shine.
The flooring has been stained and finished and we are wrapping up the last bits of tile now. It’s all coming together beautifully and our clients are very excited to move in.
